The tour is designed to give you a glimpse of the
colorful Buddhist society in the hidden Himalayan backdrop. It includes
visits to Monpa tribal villages, Kalchakra Monastery, Li-ung Gonpa, Sela
Pass and Tawang Monastery in addition to Tipi Orchid Centre - a
glass house with over 7,500 Orchids.
Tawang Special
Day 01 :: Arrive Delhi / Calcutta and transfer to hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 02 :: Delhi / Calcutta to Guwahati and drive to Tepur for an
overnight stay.
Day
03 :: Drive to Dirang (195 kms). Enroute visit Tipi Orchid Centre, a
glass house with over 7,500 Orchids and Shertukpen tribal village at Rupa.
Day 04 :: Dirang: All day sight-seeing including Dirang Monpa tribal
villages, Hot Water Spring, Sangti valley, Li-ung Gonpa and Kalchakra
Monastery. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 05 :: Drive to Tawang (145 km), enroute visit sela pass (13700
ft.). overnight stay in hotel.
Day 06 :: Full day visit to Tawang Monastery which is more than 350
ears old. Also visit Ani Gonpa monastery of Nuns and typical Tawang Monpa
tribal village.

Day 07 :: Full day at Tawang, visit birth place of H.H. the 6th
Dalai Lama, Penga Teng Tso Lake and Crafts Emporium centre which produces
very fine woolen carpets and Tawang Memorial.
